Hey Everyone

I was wondering if anyone could help me with the value of a McKinley & Roosevelt campaign button that i recently found in an old house
I dont have a picture of the one we found, but here is a pic of a similar one from the internet
The one on the right is the one like it....
I forget what it said on the back, but the date was like 1890's-1900 era i think, but not sure
Made by Whitehead & Hoag in Newark, New Jersey

The most recent (2004) price guide to Hake's political buttons books lists it at $65.

The button is from the 1900 presidential campaign.

Super find, RR! :o

Your pin is from the election of 1900. The value of the piece, if in perfect condition, with no stains or other damage, depends on the size of the pin that you found. If it is in the 7/8" size, it's worth about $15 - $18, if it is 1 1/4" in size, the value is in the $25 to $30 range. The 2 1/4" size is in the $65 to $75 range, and the 9 inch size is in the 2 grand area. For a McKinley / Roosevelt jugate (a piin that pictures two candidates), this is a fairly common pin. Hope this helps some. Still a nice find for free.

More than likely, the back paper said that it was made by Whitehead and Hoag Button Company.
