great..they called me to tell me to order..but i need some feedback on it

I like it covers ground well and u can run it on a high sensitivity with no chatter but if anyone is using a detector near u they should be far or it will read them and chatter, also runs deep not so hot in very trashy areas but worth the buy and the depth on the object your detecting is the same like stock coil :headbang:

Would you say that you gained depth? or just coverage area ? and hows the pinpointing? thanks

I haven't used the 15x12 Inch SEF Butterfly Coil, but I do own the 15x18 inch SEF Butterfly Coil and the depth on it is amazing. You will certainly gain depth.

good for you...ya..thats insane..the price jump!!

Another ?...Has anyone used this coil in shallow water? how does it operate there?
thanks Wayupnorth66

It's a deep coil, also heavy as hell after a while lol. 12x10's supposed to be a little easier but too late now i guess. I find mine excellent at the beach...whenever i can be bothered lugging it around. Used it in the shallow surf, works fine if you lower the sens a bit until stable. Just don't tilt the detector horizontal or water will hit the control box!

I ordered mine and should have it friday...im not too concerned about the weight....i use a harness..so that will help

Got mine yesterday, and so far I like it a lot! :icon_thumright:
Think of it as a bigger badder Pro coil. Much better coverage and a bit more depth. ;D
I think you'll be happy with your purchase.
After seeing the coil on my Safari though, I cannot imagine trying to swing the 15"x18" SEF! :laughing7:

I always use a harness with bungie when I hunt, I can swing the 15X18 inch butterfly coil on my Sovereign GT for hours with no problems, but then again I'm only 61.........

I only can tell you about the SEF 10x12 coil its great, today i dug a old copper buckle a plain D at 13 inches i was amazed one thing i have noticed is that SEF coils pin point,s prefect . Dd60

I got the 12x15 today..used it a couple hours and i think it beats the stock coil hands down. Its quite too. I will keep u posted

Im having major trouble pinpointing with my 12x15".......i may need to send it back..
