Can anyone help date this vintage hat

Ok this has stump me so asking for help,is this a military or band hat, I won this on eBay for $35 and I know pettibone made military and band uniforms post civil war so really looking at age wise is it late 1800's or early 1900's below are the pictures from the auction

Some history:
........the Pettibone Mfg. Co. was founded in the early 1870s, and was a dealer of military and "society, fancy goods, theatrical and regalia goods and trimmings & band goods." It lasted to 1975.

Thanks don, I read that but still has me stumped, i know it's not a Masonic hat from what I seen, the patch on the front is what has me stumped the most

I think I have narrowed it down to being a Knights of Pythias hat, below is a picture of one with a patch like the one on mine but I am not 100% sure, what do you guys think

the hat is post 1872...
by the stitching, and the applied company marque,...i'd suggest it is 1890's-1910...

Thanks I wasn't sure but now I am, it looks good with the rest of my military helmets/caps even tho it's not military
