can anyone identify this coin and value

I found this coin in an old vilage that is underwater except in the fall when the water drops and the old foundations show up.

Looks like a man standing and walking right. Doesn't look US.; looks Roman, somewhat similar to the image here: http://www.ancients.info/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=5221

Later: Coin was found in NY and has nothing on the reverse; per "Nasty"
