Don't really know but could the E.S. under the shield be established in 1863??? May be the token is not as old??? Just a thought.

Nice pictures!

Your token appears to be NY630BV-7a which has a rarity rating of R6. Kanzinger's price guide give a value of $15 in VF for this token. That's the grade I would assign your piece.

Interestingly, the website justgeese found has one listed as a NY630BV-7a, but it is really a NY630BV-6a. Notice that the eagle's wing on yours is left of the A in AMERICA. On the one on the website, the eagle's wing is below the A. That's typical of the -6a reverse.

The E.S. at the base of the shield is the die sinker's initials. In this case, I think it stands for Emil Sigel.

There is a Vesey Street in New York City right next to the old Twin Towers site.. Maybe that's where it originated??
