Howdy and welcome!

Looking at the photos and your explanation of the layering, I would really take your query to a geologist or collage dept for further testing. It does not scream meteor-wrong to me. I'm sure others will chip in on this.

Fingers crossed it's from the sky!

I'm very grateful to you

Ajaev, welcome. From photos I have studied only, yours would be a candidate for being a meteorite. I has the right form, very dense, no voids or bubbles. The surface looks ablated from penetrating the atmosphere. Good luck.

Based on what I'm seeing if your photo's, it might well be. What part of the world are you in? There are a number of known strewn fields which might produce a find like that. Be sure to let us know if you have it checked out.

Could be a professional would have to test it I mean how many of us really know what kind of rocks are in space ??????

Are you maybe Russian? Stone looks sort of promising. Need an experts opinion.

Thank you very much:sunny:

It does have some superficial characteristics of meteorites. The scar from the chunk you hacked out leaves me with doubts, however. Once you have it examined by a qualified professional, familiar with meteorites, get back with us.

Time for more coffee.

The pics in #11 show no characteristics of meteorites.

Time for more coffee.
