Last letter B on mine denotes weight of plating, ie very low, A being better and A+ the top end of the range.
The S on yours is probably a date and with no "plating letter" most likely very low weight.

The 'S' is not a date mark. It simply stands for 'Sheffield'. As said, there is no date mark or plate quality mark, but the style of the W&H pennant looks to be that used from c.1910 onwards. It's probably rather later than that though.
The lower case 'a' and 'b' letters on the comparative examples from @pete61 are the date letters used by Walker & Hall in 1919 and 1920 respectively.
