can someone post this need info for me

Here ya go -

Nickels - 1942-1945, 35% silver, but only the 1942's with a mintmark (P, D or S) above the Monticello.

Dimes - 1964 and older, 90% silver

Quarters - 1964 & older, 90% silver

Halves - 1965-1970, 40% silver; 1964 & older and some 1976S proofs, 90% silver

Dollars - 1935 & older and Eisenhower proofs (S mintmark), 90% silver

Okay so the 7 pounds of 1964 nickles I have are not silver so I can add them to the change to cash in at the bank.
LOL, I was saving all 64 and before. ::)

Wait... I thought 1964 and back nickels had some silver? lol I have lots of change to go cash in!

What year and back are good for keeping in nickels?

The only year nickels had any silver were 1942 - 1945, and not all 1942 were silver. If you want to see if your 1942 was silver, look at the reverse, it will have a large mintmark above the monticello dome. All 1943 - 1945 were silver and have the same large mintmark above the dome. I generally keep all nickels 1955 and previous, some folks do 1959 and previous.
