In a copper (?) tube. I can't read the brand, but it's there. Looks like "Palace" or "Valaze". There are two women's busts (?) (20's flappers, romans?) facing each other in a circle. Color stamped on bottom is "Red Cardinal". 1-3/4" long.

I think this is a Coty lipstick case it could be from the 20's like you said the company was founded in 1910 Paris France and is still in business today red cardinal #55 was one of their best selling colors

Thanks for the info Joseph. The lettering is just barely visible in the top third of the circle above the 2 busts. It's in a semi-circular area. I don't think it says "COTY" though. I was hoping someone had seen this logo before.

Are old lipstick tubes collectible? I have an old brass tube in my brass bin at home.

Coty lipstick cases usually don't say Coty on their makers mark

I can't seem to find a match for this tube on-line, it seems Ms. Rubinstein began marketing the "Valaze" line of products soon after the turn of the 20th century. I found the following two pictures on-line, both with the two busts facing each other motif. I am convinced that the images on my lipstick tube are two flappers ca 1920s facing one another. Thanks again to Taz for the ID!
