A pinpong ball is a little big to fit but it does nothing to the ball. But lemons just fall out either halved or quartered. The bowl is rounded with nothing to apply pressure. The top edges are somewhat sharp. I thought of some sort of fruit baller but that doesn't seem to be it either. I am stumped. But I am sure someone will recognize it for what it is.

I think that a part that attaches to the top handle is missing and you are right about a press but for what?

One way I could see it working as a 'baller'; hold the handles together to push it into the melon, then spread them apart to cut out the ball.?????????

i think this might be a corer. not neccesarily for apples, but maybe so. it looks like it is supposed to be used in the folded position..
i can't think of it being used as a baller because your hands would hit the melon when the tool is unfolded...?
can't find a pic. still looking...

There is nothing to apply pressure to crack the nut. I will try to post some better pictures

Can anyone identify this item it is a kitchen item of sorts. I have tried juicer and garlic press but that is not it. Any suggestions

How about a pair of ice tongs, from back when you needed an ice pick to get chunks of ice in a usable size? Or perhaps tongs to remove items from a deep fryer or frying pan?

I recall a similar utensil being used by bartenders to squeeze the juice from lemon/lime wedges into drinks.

looks like it could be an item used to de-horn cattle....... we had something similar to that on the farm......... but that was many years ago... I could be mistaken ???
