Canadian coins

Canadian copper cents are "worth" keeping because of their melt value. The rest probably isn't worth it as far as an investment. I keep all of them though because of the novelty - it feels like finding something amidst all of the junk clad. Some day I'll go through all my Canadian cents, nickels, and dimes, and see how close to putting sets together I am. Maybe buy some used albums on eBay or something.

Canadian cents 1997 and earlier are 98% Copper. Canadian nickels 1981 and earlier are 99.9% Nickel. My understanding is that King George cents (1951 and earlier) are comparable to wheats.

personally, I never reroll foreign coins with US.

I sort out the pre 1997 cents and put them in a jar and put the other coins in my foreign coin jar.
