I just found my first Canadian dime yesterday. Date was 1968. I learned that they made two kinds that year...one was 50% silver and the other was made mostly of nickel. I found the latter, unfortunately. The way one can tell is by putting a magnet to the dime...if it sticks it's nickel, if not it's silver.
