Canadian Silver ?

I know Canada stopped making silver in 1967 but are the nickels they made silver before 1967 or are they like our nickels no silver but war nickels or what?

All Canada nickels after 1922 were pure nickel and will draw to a magnet. There are two types of 1926 and a rare 1925 I think. Prior to that they were called five cent silvers and many of them are expensive. They are about the same size as our half dimes. good luck, ss
