I found this badge looking think in a field where I have been finding mid to late 19th century objects (buttons, buckles etc.) It looks like a cap badge I think? The letters say D.G.P. Surrounded by a wreath. It’s 1 1/2 X 1 1/2 inches. The only thing that comes up for me is an Indian police ranking. Any ideas would be much obliged.
