Captain Midnight SS Decoder & other goodies
Tonight's 1 hour hunt didn't bring me any silver or gold, or any closer to Juju's hot streak, but I did manage a really neat find at another old easement near a 1928 apartment complex. Got me a first...a 1948 Captain Midnight SS Decoder. Too bad it's toast inside as they can sell for over a hundred dollars in good condition. Anyone know what all that crap is inside of it?
Also found several no-key wheaties...1919, 1923, 1927, 1936, two 1942 and a 1944, another Washington state tax token, a cute button, and an aluminum religious medallion, all from the same productive corner of easements I've been hitting for the past couple weeks off and on.
By the way, I've been told by some in the neighborhood that other detectorists have been seen searching these easements in the past, but obviously they've been missing a lot of stuff. I think this is where the Safari really shines...it tends to get stuff that others miss thanks to better target separation and discrimination.
HH!
