Left Chicago this weekend to visit family in NW Illinois. Found some time to hunt an old carnival grounds site. I had tried it last fall and found some goodies. My 80 year old father even joined me this time. He use to detect back in the 1970s and he was detecting old school on Saturday - no head phones, pinpointer, etc. Just a Bounty Hunter Tracker IV and a USMC combat knife for digging. He even found one of the Indians pictured below - an 1891 full liberty. It was a fun day. Finds below included 6 Indians (1868 (oldest coin I have found at this site), 1888, 1891 (X2), 1901 and 1906) and six silver dimes (1914 Barber, 1918D, 1920D, 1936(X2) Mercs and a 1956 Rosie). Based on the nice condition indians there should be some more Barbers and Seated lurking around there!

Nice finds! Glad you could get out with your dad. Now if only he had a backhoe, he'd be raking in the silvers like L4S does.

Nice haul Pat! 6 in one day is fantastic and you are not the IH master for nothing!
