Carolus III Mexican Half Reale

This is my most memorable find. I found it in a field that once was the site of a fort in the 1770s.

It gave a great signal and was recovered at a depth of 3.5".

Spanish silver always makes for a great day!

hmmm. the profiles on your reale and on mine dont seem to match, do they? could yours be a carolus the IIII?

HEY DOYBOY, GREAT FIND! I KNOW HOW COOL IT IS TO FIND SPANISH SILVER. LAST SUMMER I FOUND AN 1810 1/2 REALE AND A 1778 ONE REALE. THE ONE REALE IS PICTURED BELOW. NOW GET BACK TO THAT SPOT AND FIND ANOTHER!
