Carpenter's seal matrix

While testing a "new" old site this afternoon, I found this nice mid 18th century (or maybe slightly older) seal matrix, made of bronze.

Now that is a pretty cool item there, I need to make a seal for myself, send in all of my bills with a wax seal. But then I would probably piss of the post office by jamming up their sorting machines with wax.

How does one figure out what the pattern signifies? I would guess plenty of well-crafted search inquiries on the WWW as the simplest approach.
