I picked up this cast iron toy plane at a flea market and was thinking it was pretty old. I listed it on ebay this morning, and someone emailed me and told me it was a repro from Taiwan. There are no makers marks on it at all. Does anyone know anything about these? I'd appreciate a second opinion. Thanks!!

Yup repro can tell by the paint
sorry but still cool

GRRRR....The Asians are copying everything now, making it very hard to tell if you have a real item or not...I used to know a lady(not asian), that would get "new" metal toy soldiers, have her husband torch them, and let them weather a little while, and voila! an 80 year old soldier....life is hard enough without having the "fake" factor throw in....

My cast Iron airplane looks like the one above but do have the letter A on the inside. if anyone can help would appreciate.

Would you sell it i am interested
