Found this cool cast iron piece a while back. Seems like it should have a lid... very flat edge on the top of the handle - no lid found. Enamel inside is in nice shape. Crown hallmark on the end. Marked 6L and 377.
I think its a vintage cookware piece but really don't know. Something completely kitchen unrelated? Any makers or ideas are greatly appreciated! Its going to be well loved here on my plant shelf!

To me it looks like something from Sweden. As for its design I'm guessing it's for cooking fish with a spout to drain the the fat. A similar crown mark can be found on Granfors Burk axe heads from Sweden.

we need something for size reference please
Hey Tpmetal! Thanks for the response and feedback! I've attached photos with a measuring tape! The piece is approximately 17" x 9 1/2" x 4"" not including the handle. I appreciate your interest!

Hey tamrock! Thanks for the reply! Fat drain looks correct to my brain as well. The stamp you posted looks very similar! I've done a bit of googling on this piece prior to posting, and yours is the first picture that looks right! I'll look deeper with that name and let you know if I find anything!

Yeah I hope you can ID it. It just seems to me it was the Scandinavians who offered more enameled cast iron cookware and some brands are very desirable and expensive.

Don't know why, but my first thought was a bed pan till I saw part wasn't enameled.
