Cell phone and GT dont mix!

i thought i had a problem with my new GT ! it was letting out a crazy sound about every 3 min? i thought maybe it was the batt,so i changed it to the alkaline pack and same thing .out of no where it would blurp,zwank,go from hi to low and low to high.come to find out it was my Nextel cell phone in my right pocket.ever so often it would update and when it did my GT would go crazy! who would have thunk that.LOL!

That's why I keep the cell phone on my left pocket!!

I have a CDMA phone and clip it on the opposite side or as far as possible away from my machine. I would like to not have to carry it, but work requires to have it Usually it doesn't cause issues but if I forget the machine will remind me.

thanks for the heads up. I recently bought a gt and have used it mostly at the beaches. I usally leave my phone in the car when I am hunting only because I dont like being interrupted and wife and family know to leave messages and I wlll get back to them. HH Ted
