These pics represent 3-4 hours hitting a side of the road cellar hole that was hit a bunch and dumped on a bunch. Tons of surface trash. Hate when that happens. I did manage a wheatie and merc spill, as well as a pretty old wheatie. Some sort of half penny with a hole in the center as well. A nice time exploring a "new to me" cellar hole.

I still had some day light left so I checked out where the closest elementary school was on the GPS and thought I'd go collect some gas money. On the way there I passed some town property that bordered an old house. On the "town side" of the chain link fence were a row for 4 old trees that were probably planted at the time of the old house. I figured why not give it a shot!! I'm glad I did. The area was only 30' X 60' and I did not get one high tone signal. I got a couple of nickels, some can slaw, pull tabs, annnnnd a 14k St. Christopher medal!!!! Thanks to whomever hit it before me and cleared out all the "junk". :) Always dig all non-ferrous is my motto!!!

Enjoy the pics

Great hunt, love that really nice gold.

That's a really nice spigot, even has the top valve!

24 NICE BARREL SPIGEOUT. AND I GUESS EITHER PEWTER OR LEAD SPOON THAT AT FIRST GLANCE I THOUGH IT WAS A IRON BETTY OIL LAMP .

That's some good finds

some great finds!, that 14k is awesome but my favorite is the holed half penny!, good job!!!

Congrats on the gold and finding that coin spill. Looks like you have an eye for finding good spots to swing the coil.

Actually, the spoon head was one of the highlights turned lowlights of the hunt. It rang up pure 12-46 no matter what angle I swung my coil.. On the e-trac that is a nice pure silver sound. I was totally convinced I had a nice large silver. Once I recovered it, I discovered not only was it not silver, but an ALUMINUM spoon head. I've been detecting since 2008 and have never found a full sized aluminum utensil. I find those 1960's mini utensils that must have come with some sort of snack pack. Never full sized. Was so deflating when it came out of the ground.
