We took a short break and visited the street fair to have a drink as it was getting pretty warm. Then it was off to the fairgrounds. There was a tractor pull going on in the center of the fairgrounds (which is off limits to detecting anyway) so we spread out and commenced our search. The fairgrounds has been pretty well pounded over the years so the pickings were pretty slim, but the day was not about finding hundreds of old coins and relics, it was about getting together with new friends, and sharing some stories and laughs. Here’s the tractor pull area:
We took a lunch break at Mickey D’s and watched a rain shower move in and pass through while we were safe inside enjoying each other’s company.
