From the land of the Bluenose.....waited till quarter after the hour for the newbie who didn't show up so I headed out solo down the 101 and picked up Slickpick Rick. Hit a few spots popping a fair amount of coinage along the way. My old Freedom 3 Plus was injured as the trigger for the pinpointing had died which really didn't present too much of a challenge but did cause me to dig more than normal amount of junk targets.

Navy Davy was missed as he was on a family visit. Good day out with Slickpick Rick digging 143 coins @ $6.21 with a nice WW11 Air force button and a silver ring. (Slickpick I couldn't get that email photo to download maybe you can add it as it's a good photo).

As for this bouy it was 131 coins @$4.45 with a dinkie and pin.

Had a couple of eyeball finds to round out the day.

On a sad note found out that not only did the Dominican airport steal Marie's rings but when I went to put away my finds from the trip.....all the rings I had found were gone!

Still "P.Oed" big time! You can rest assured this does not happen at the airport I work at...........I would be the first to know if it did!

uh pilfered baggage in DR -- all valuibles need to be hand carried there -- leave nothing of value in your suitcases -- but too late for this trip * word to the wise for folks travaling down there --one of the world poorest places -- things will "come up" missing quite easily --esp since you will not "find out" until your home .

in the late 70's thru mid 80's the "wise guy" crews working the airports in NYC area had a racket of ripping off all kinds stuff from folks luggage and in and outbound shipments. --- jimmy "the gent" burke and his boys ---see the movie "goodfella's" -- De Niro plays a charter based on "burke"

oh btw -- over 3/4th of the 6 million $ worth of untracible cash and jewels from the robbery has never been found --all the "players" in the robbery are dead except "henry hill" --- burke was the "money holder" after the crime he went a "whack fest" rather than pay off the others he simply killed em off or had it done .

That is a shame about your loot being stolen you have to be careful in those places but good finds anyway  by the way Jimmy the Gent disrespected Vincent 'The Chin' Gigante and was put out of business for good i know these thing,s my long gone Dad long ago worked for Franky Galleo and Blind Joey the Priest hauling meat out of the airports in NYC :laughing7: :-X Dd60

jimmy got "rolled" on by henry hill * for murder --died in jail -- jimmy was a stone cold killer *

my pop was around those guys back in the day -- pops dead now -- pops was part of the SIU "goon squad" crew that took on the Teamsters in chicago back in 1968 -- the SIU beat the teamsters --- not many folks know that but in the late 60's thru the 70's the SIU "goon squad" was some mean mothers

Is the SIU what is now the SEIU?
They are nothing but goons too....
Unions were very much needed at one time, but they are nothing more than legalized "Organized Crime" now, IMHO.....

I would be so pissed about those rings... Any way you can get the Airline to reimburse you? I would think they would have to do something..
Sorry about losing such a pile of great finds...

seafarers international union * --has many "sub unions" under its "umbrella" / family and is a AFL -CIO member union

SEIU --is NOT a AFL - CIO member it and several other "rouge" unions --left the main labor unions group known collectivly as AFL - CIO some years ago .

Good info Ivan, thanks.....

Oh, and it is "Rogue", not "Rouge".... One is an outcast, the other is a makeup.... :laughing7:

baton rouge -- "red stick" in french (old cathouse area near new orleans) the red lipstick the "gals" wore was to tell their of their "special" skills ---- --rouge "red" * unions --lots of commie organizer types in the "rouge" or red groups

afl - cio unions do not "allow" commie members --part of the afl cio unions - union oath is that your not a commie.
