Ceramic Fragment Pattern

Hi Guys,

I just wondered if anyone could shed some light on this strange pattern, on this ceramic fragment of a plate I recently found in a rock pool, on the south coast of England. It looks like a viking ship to me. I hope I posted this in the correct area.
