Hello All. Dug these parts w Btoots last week end at an 1880's home site.

The hub cap is real toasty c1940-1950 and the Chalmers pc is c1908-1923.

Don't know what the Chalmers part is...maybe part of the rear axle's differential or the air cleaner? It's brass and looks like it was well made back in the day.

Congrats on a couple of interesting finds. Bet they were screamers in your headphones.
 

Chalmers .. Solar No 146 sounds like lights for the unit ...maybe carbide or kerosene ........... I wonder if this Chalmers company later became Allis Chalmers tractor company .....
