I hit a old spot that has seen the claw of progress, in a way not to my advantage. Once a place that coughed up 40's silvers and relics of those idle times, heavy steel and hydraulics has changed this place forever. This spot is close to a school that I also go over when the old dirt is not so kind. So I hit the chips, my Conquistador sings a similar song on lead, nickel, and gold.....it make s a fun guessing game for the not so plainly ID'd detector. I guessed nickel.....but was given gold. Ugly, but it's gold none the less. I had done the whole chip area looking for scraps, then decided to do a detailed 5 foot swath around the chips looking for the mom/pop bling, it paid off. So remember to not just concentrate on the chip area!
