Whoa, some quality points and pieces in there. They look good from what I can tell. The sellers feedback would have me pretty worried though if I was considering that frame.

Yeah his feed back is weird. Looks like he has sold vehicles, machines and artifacts. Be fun to see what this goes up to. He said he meant to start it at $6500.00. But now he has bids on it but he thinks he can back out if it does not reach the $6500.00. Wrong !!! haha

wow,thanks tn.mountains. :coffee2:

Looks like the real deal to me boys!

Yeah they look good. Some fine early examples in there.

I figure book value on that frame is around 7-8 grand, maybe more, just a guess.

This guy used to set up at the Huntington Indiana show, I remember his frame. He lives in the same area where my mom's family is from, and where I used to hunt a lot.

For what it's worth, most of the collection looks good to me. The little red slate ball bannerstone with the hole was for sale at the show one year, it's a very unique little piece (I believe it came from Jim Bickles collection.)

I thought it was a rather unfriendly listing. "Please don't email me a ton of stupid questions..." etc. And no return privilege. Even if I was interested in the points and could spare the money, i would not bid on this auction. I expect a nicer and more professional attitude from sellers I patronize, especially if the item has a four figure ticket.

Agree 100% with you, anyone has the right to ask as many questions as they want especially if they're about to drop 6 or 7 large on the guy, that's just rude.

Yes and now he is back to...$1.00. That right a buck, lol. He had bids also. I bet e-bay pulls him before long. Not a friendly guy and says he has other stuff to go with this auction he will show ya later. Yeah right!! :coffee2:

I figure one of two things happened...

First, he put what he thought was a high reserve of $5500 on the collection, and crapped himself when the bids went higher than that. Then he said he wouldn't sell it for less than $6500, and really freaked out when the bids went higher. At that point he got cold feet and got scared that he was selling it too low and cancelled the bids.

Second, someone more local made him a cash offer to buy it.

It looked like it had hit $5,500.00 and he panicked thinking he should have put 65 like you said. I may bid $1.50 for it :laughing7:
Oh man I gotta be up in 4 hours and hit some waterways and hopeI find one point !!
Later!!
