Check this "baby" out!!!

Not sure if its real or not;but it sure got my heart a thumping!! Found it in a tot lot at a local school.

This is an earing.It doesnt seem to have any markings on it.

a ring is a ring is a ring.... I have only found 4 so far this year... but hey that is 4 more than my neighbor who doesn't swing a detector.... and the next one might be my vacation to Myrtle Beach...... I keep telling the wife.... "Honey, I am one hole away from a 1916d merc... or a diamond ring.... and you know I will sell either and then we are off to the beach.... start packing." At least she keeps letting me go out n hunt everyday.......

Well what does it say on the inside of the band? If it is real there must be a mark someplace. Perhaps a pic of that back of the setting may help identify it as well.

Lets find out if its real, Look on the inside of the band. Do you see any kind of Hallmark? (10k, 14K)?

Nice find Steve! Sometimes the hallmarks are so small on gold earrings. We have a 100X microscope at work so I usually take mine there to verifly the markings. They are sometimes stamped on round surfaces, so they are not complete stampings and extra hard to read. Great find, congrats and I hope it's 14Kt or better and that diamond is real!!
