Found this in my change today. It's a '46 merc that's been around the block a few times. At least I didn't dig a hole for it! 8-) 003.webp004.webp

Nice find! I've never had such luck so far in my life. Heck, now I even check all my pocket change and sort out the coppers. Oldest thing I've found in pocket change was a 1942 nickel.. not even silver :(

Cool...good advice, I always check my change, haven't found any silver in a looonnnggg time but plenty of wheaties

Nice save! I was doing just that (checking my change jar) last night and found a '64 dime. Don't ya' love it when that happens?

cool find..are you sure it is a 46? Take a closer look.

My bust! Just looked at it with the magnifier, I't appears to be 1940! Can't seem to remember when the Eisenhower first appeared. Thanks man, After I turned 50 I developed a severe case of C.R.S.!

WEEEEE...

no worries..Roosevelt on dimes in 46, (Eisenhower on dollars in 71)

well, I think I would have rather dug it but I would take it in some change also

picked up a 1919 D wheat penny in change last week. Actually noticed the worn look of the penny as it was being passed to me by the clerk. When I checked later the lettering, date, and mint were all very legible with just the high spots on the bust being worn off. Surprised it was that old, still in decent shape, and still in circulation.

Nice! My daughter works in a convenient store. She'll occasionally come across wheat pennies and a buffalo nickel every now and then. She gets a kick rubbing those finds in my face.
