Got out to the woods and found this chewed up bird band and cant make out all the numbers and the one word looks like ABRE and the other word looks like CA "bite mark "and N.
The top numbers are 1581 and were it is bent a 6 just under the 8. The numbers under the top numbers might be 15623. The 2 is chewed up if it is a 2. Not sure if there is a 1 on the bottom or just something that looks like a 1. I can see the 6 & 3 clearly and not sure about the rest. I hope I'm not confusing anyone.
Bird bands can have 8 numbers or 9 eather one and the lower numbers could be 5623. I did my best on the pictures.
The band was about 3 inches down and looks like a cat chewed it and has a lot of bite marks on it.

If it's a 1/4" wouldn't that make it a racing pigeon band?
Seems a bit small for a duck? :icon_scratch:

It's to small to be a pigeon band. It's a 1/4 inch square and crushed flat. I can't find anything on the Internet so why band birds you can't track.
