Chicken Little was right!

Went for a hunt along South River today and found a hot spot of iron and nails. Among the iron was this very rare lead filled Civil War rooster insignia

That looks like a hen, not a rooster. Are there pieces broken off the head? The comb? Gary

Even a hen should show some sort of a comb. Still a great find though.

This one has some prominent tail feathers, but no comb.
