Since I have been cranking out 70+ hours a week working, I needed to get my groove on and start swinging away come rain or tidal currents. Hit the beach that I was working until the freeze over this past fall. Dug a 51' Franklin, Standing liberty, 41' Washington, 50',56',57' Rosies, 3 Buffalos, 2 42' War nicks and a bunch of cooked wheaties and some other junk. Raining and absolutely muddy, yes, well worth it...you bet!

Felt good to get out again, this beach is amazing, I don't know why so many coins are present there, it never was a swimming beach..I mean I found pretty much everything under the sun there, except my first NY Indian head its been 7 years since I moved here from jersey, still not a one...the irony.

I would still be there if it wasn't for the rain, I was absolutely soaked..

Nice digs, that's a fistful of Silver. Big Congrats!!

nice finds! Congrats

What was really disappointing was these two coins that I dug up today, they had some heft in your hand so my mind was running, only to find out that they are cooked silver a rosie/washington. ..only in NY have I ever dug coins that were encapsulated. ..odd

Impressive finds! You were work'n hard for the money (finds) in all that mud! Congrats!

At lest you didn't have to walk around beached icebergs!

Great recovery on the silver...Nice!

Looks like you're putting in the effort and reaping the rewards MuckyBottles.

Maybe something in the water/mud makes them tarnish that bad. I bet my hillbilly zapper could restore them to a much more recognizable state?

Awesome finds! Vey nice silver collection.
