I found what looked like a 1776-1976 proof. It has a couple of spots of dirt so I went to rub it with my fingers in some hot water and I feel a little jab. I look down and see a little strip of metal that rolled it's self up. I figure this is chrome plating so I start peeling it away... the face under it has the mirror finish of a proof. Anyone else ever see a proof that got plated?
