Cibola or Fisher 1236-X2???

Either one is good. I happen to have both. The Cibola is lighter although the Fisher is hip mountable. Both have freq. shift. The Cibola has the edge on warranty. Is there much difference in the prices?
Before making the final decision, you might also look at the Vaquero since it's the same as the Cibola but has a manual ground balance that can come in handy in other soils.

Cibola $340. And what's the deal with Kellyco and Aardvark? are they the same company? I can get the 1236 for $319 plus 14.95 "for added weight of the free accessories" (with headphones) and $319 from Aardvark with accessories but minus headphones.

I'm not personally overly fond of their "free stuff" however you might get ahold of JOE(USA) and Sandman and see what their thoughts are.
If it's just those two choices, the Cibola also has probably better depth as well. I'd pick the Cibola and then get a pair of quality headphones like the Killer B's, Grey Ghost, etc.

iv owned both and liked the Cibola much better.

jharhed,

Send me a PM if I can help you with the Tesoro. If you do, give me some more info on how you will be using the detector. Joe

jharhed,
Let me know if I can help you out in anyway.

I would choose the Cibola.

I have a 1236 and a Vaquero and I gotta say I like the Fisher as well as anything else.
