Got out for a couple hours this evening and walked into a spot I hadn’t hunted before. Found two flat buttons and a knapsack hook. Also found a broken piece that has me stumped. It’s part of something that has a brass face and a solder filled back like you’d see on a CW buckle. Any ideas what it is?

Nice finds! No idea on the mystery piece, but could date from the same time as the other relics.

Fullstock, nice saves on some CW History. The mystery piece, I'm wondering if this could possibly be a clipped piece off of an Eagle Breast plate. Hard to tell, but the piece looks like it could have originally been round in shape. Also being brass on the face or front and being lead filled on the back, it makes one wonder. I like the knapsack hook too.

makes you wonder

Nice!!! Congrats!!!

I wondered if it was maybe part of a martingale, but who knows.

I was just about to mention that , (I just needed to find out how to spell 'Martingale ' ) Ha Ha .

That said it does have a heart look to it .
