I found another one (that was found MD'ng - in very nice condition) and this was one of the replies...

According to Plates and Buckles of the American Military 1795-1874 by Sydney C. Kerksis, it has a rarity of 7. 1 being very common and 10 unique. This plate was manufacture circa 1861.
