Near Richmond, most likely based on my research it was battle at Malvern, and if I'm correct it looks like it was dropped and never fired. Found 8" deep with a fisher f4 under roots of 50+ year old pine. Great score, any thoughts on condition? I left it dirty for now :)

Well sir you are in a good spot, there was a ton of activity around Richmond. From what I see it looks to be a dropped Enfield or sharps, it's not in terrible shape but fine details won't be noticeable (like crisp rings or small carvings made by the soldiers ). None the less good find and find some more.

Thank you, I'll be hitting the same area for a while since I am currently living on a property where they camped, I'll post more when they come

Dropped sharps

Pretty sure that's a confederate bullet. If it has two rings, it definitely is, but if it has three rings it could be from either the union or confederacy. Congrats and HH!

Looks like a yankee Sharps bullet, but I'm not sure it's dropped.

Dropped 52cal [most likely] Sharps ? does it have a flat base or a small cone cavity?....Def sharps tho.

I bet it has a flat base, it's a sharps I guarantee it. I have found over 100 of them!!!
