I had this bullet on a different forum. Just discovered this sub forum. This is what I believe to be an enfield. It's diameter is approximately .544-.547. It weighs 516 grains and length is 1.21 inches. What's strange is that the bottom is neither solid or hollow but is crimped in. Any ideas? image.webp

Probably an Enfield that has been altered. Looks as if something like pliers was used to crimp the back end of the bullet. Could have been done to make a stopper or some other gadget or just a soldier entertaining himself in camp.
