I didn't have to do any digging to find this neat treasure and piece of history. I found this Civil War era bullet in the drawer of a desk my grandmother used to use. Based on what research I've done so far, it appears to be a .69 cal bullet used by the Confederacy (aka British Sea Service bullet).:icon_sunny:

Thanks to all for the correction. Yes, after looking at numerous pics, it is apparently a Type III Williams Cleaner Bullet used by the Union Army.:read2:
 

Yes, it certainly would. Unfortunately, she passed away in 2009 at the ripe old age of 91. :(
