Had a great day, I think I have traversed 20 miles in the last year metal detecting and have only found 8 or 9 civ bullets. Today in a 20 yard radius I found 10! I'm not so sure what the odd ball bullet is, any guesses? Also same site as bullets and deep in the ground I found this metal tube thing with threads inside.....any clues? Found the 1907 dime yesterday at different location.

awesome finds, especially the dime! The tube looks like it could be a bullet casing.

Also this was my first silver dime!

Congrats on your first silver dime! I found one today too.

It looks that way but it's got nice threads down into it, feels more durable than an old casing too.

Awesome finds! I like the wormed 3 ringer. The one bullet is a Williams cleaner. The other one looks like it might have been carved? I think the threaded piece could've been part of a ramrod or some kind of gun cleaning tool. Just a guess. Congrats!

Being they made several versions of ramrods that thread together, perhaps this piece protects the threads on those not being used or when it's taken apart ???

Bet the odd lead item is a self manufactured nipple protector for their rifle. Placed them over the percussion nipple to keep water out of the tube.

Pound that site, bet you might find a tompion too.

That would be cool, I learn something everyday, I noticed it had two little opposing "V"s notched into the top. Haven't seen that before.

With all of those bullets, they may have been there for a while.... You may want to consider digging every signal at a site like that. :)
