Hi,
This newspaper article was found in the June 1st, 1926 edition of the Tipton Daily Tribune. I don't know what the Key they mention has to do with the treasure. They also mention gold coins were found on the land occasionally before the cache was found. A hunter with a decent metal detector could hit some more Gold. It will take a bit of research.
