I spent a few days this past week at the DIV hunt in Virginia and came home with some nice finds. I found 33 buttons, j-hooks, gun tool, Enfield nipple protector, shell frag and much more. My best find was a New York coat button with lots of gilt left.

I'd say the best find is the watch chain with the three ringer. Nice digs.

That's a nice spread of targets. Thanks for sharing.

Wow! That's quite a haul congrats!

That chain thing is an Enfield nipple protector.

Glad to see someone doing well in va

Ah I thought it was a pocket watch chain.
Don't feel bad, I thought it was a chain from a canteen. :dontknow:

A lot of great CW relics there Randy. Congrats on all of those buttons.

Congrats on the great finds .. cheers Mick

Very nice finds!

By the looks of those finds you had a great three days of hunting! You sure dug your share of buttons! :hello2:

Where was the dig this year TH?

Very nice finds, I have been muzzle loader hunting for quite a few years, my first muzzy was a percussion cap side hammer. I used to use Glad wrap for my nipple protector.
I wanted to just post and say "I could use a couple of nipple protectors" ha ha lol.
