I live close to where the battle of Sporting Hill occurred. I found a button with 13 stars on it. If anyone can help identify I would greatly appreciate it. I could not find it on the Internet. I included my other recent possible civil war finds. 1 shot bullet and 2 possible drops. The one bullet doesn't have the white patina, but it was under water. I apologize for the poor pic it was on an I phone. Thank you!!!

Look up rattlesnake buttons.. I'm no expert but that button kinds looks like a good one that I have seen on this site before.

Thank you! I looked up rattlesnake buttons and it does look like some of the sample pics online. I found that at property that allegedly dates to 1750's. I have been kind of having a rough start detecting in 2014. So far only 1 silver coin and no civil war or Colonial relics. I have been detecting about 2 1/2 years and still learning! Thanks again

Im in The same boat as u but glad to Help. I think those rattlesnake buttons go for good money too! Gl.
