Awesome finds! I was just doing research on areas around Western MD for private properties around the battle sites. Haha If I catch a permission maybe we can meet up and hit it!

View attachment 1916933 So, I was curious about that piece of type face you found because it was purpose made for a specific printing job. Knowing that the type was reversed for printing, I put your pic in my photo editor and flipped it horizontally which put the type facing the correct direction so you can read it..more or less ! There's a couple of characters that I can't make out and I think it is broken from it's original length..but it appears that it might say- (La?)rgely atended [SIC] and the last few characters are indistinguishable.
This could be type from a Civil War era newspaper or maybe it was used to print military documents of some sort.

Nice haul!!!

The piece seems to fit the thumb and fore finger like it was used a lot. Has indentations.

Very nice finds! What's the very tiny bullet at the bottom??

Nice saves on some CW History. You did well on that spot. Continued Success to you. I love to find those Confetrit' Gardner bullets.

WELL DONE INDEED I hope to one day have the privilege to hunt where CW battles were

I believe the little one is a .31 cal pistol bullet.
It measures .29

Nice!!!! Congrats!!!!
