I'm trying to find info on troop movements in and around Brandon, MS. I know they burned the town on their way to burning Jackson, but can't seem to find any documentation. Can anyone help?

I know your post is a few months old. Have you tried the "Official Record of the War of the Rebellion?" Leans heavily toward the Union side of events because so many Confederate records were burned or otherwise lost. They did the best they could to present accurate records from both armies. Readily available on line. Also - "Battles and Leaders of the Civil War" (4 volumes) might have something.
