I was detecting a civil war battlefield not long ago when I dug a round piece of lead. It is about 1 1/4 in. Diameter circle and about 1/4 in. thick. Could this have been a small ingot passed out to soldiers for making bullets. Has anyone else seen something like this?

Looks like a lead fill from a rosette.
