Got a quick hunt in this morning before the rain set in, and I am rather pleased with the results! Got 5 fired 3-Ringers, a fired .36 ball, a fired and smashed .69 round ball, a shell fragment, and this SPUR! I got so excited when I saw the tell-tale green patina looking at me from the bottom of the hole, and for an instant thought I might have finally gotten a plate. Though it is not a plate, I am still thrilled with the find! Could someone with more knowledge than me (which is a very large audience) identify the spur? And if it is Union, just tell me it is Confederate anyways so that I can feel better about it
. Thanks fellas!
