I think they are newer bullets, but thought i would see what you guys and gals think!

They are very modern copper-jacketed bullets. I'm having trouble recalling the exact name for the specific version you found, but think they are called "split-point" or "talon" bullets. Note the six tiny short slits in the jacket around the nose opening. They have a very nasty mushrooming result upon impact. http://www.hornady.com/store/XTP-XTP-MAG/
