Well I went out to check on an area that I found a 1887 IH penny to see if I could find some silver. The house was a 1800's home that was torn down last year. I found the IH right where the old sidewalk use to be @ 6". There was some guys cutting the lawn at my spot so I decided that I would go into town and detect where some old stores use to be and all I was able to muster was a few clad coins. I found a pocket spill (2 dimes and 3 pennys) but I kept getting a strong 42 to 46 signal on my Minelab next to where the spill was. After a little digging I found my first Sterling Silver Ring!!! It's missing the center stone but non the less it was stamped sterling inside the band. The next ring came under the base of a tree not too far from the 1st. This one has 925 stamped inside the band. I'm Geeked!!! ;D

Didn't make it to RO I'm going local to finish up on the old part of town. I don't expect much but you never know unless you dig.

Thanks to all who replied to my post. I sit here and read of all the great finds by you folks and say to myself "one of these days..." Well I guess every squirrel gets a nut every now and then... Hopefully my nuts are gold and silver... LOL!!! Get yer mind outta the gutter eh?

Regards,

Greg (C2MU)

Congratulations on those nice rings. Great finds. Now you are perhaps like many of the rest of us? Only about 2,000 something pieces of jewelry behind Boobydoo LOL.
